I was getting port errors and went into expert mode, Nat and added

Azur1 and Azur2 with the same port number as Azureus , with TCP and UDP - connection error seems to have gone but getting no speed and it says i have a NAT connection problem,

    Thanks

It might be easier to enable UPnP in the router and Azureus will take care of the port mapping, the UPnP plugin is enabled by default I think if not just go into the options/plugins of Azureus and you will see it.

Azureus will also say there is a NAT error [which is a bit misleading] if it cannot connect to the tracker even if your properly configured.

When setting it up manually did you also forward the UDP port for the distributed database which can be found under the options/plugin/distributed DB page ?

Have you port forwarded the appropriate ports on the router ?

Naa I managed to get this working. If you double click on the little NAT error icon in Azureus it will bring you to this page : http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/NAT_problem

As you can see here, it tells you not to use ports in the 6881-6999 range. I changed my ports to a higher number and forwarded them within the routers NAT.

    Works fine for me now!

By any chance do you have Zonealarm installed it has a habit of interfering with Azureus and causes the connection errors where it works one moment and the next it doesn't even if Azureus is on the allowed program list.

You need to set the router's firewall to "Low" or "Off". You don't even need to go into expert mode to do it afaik. Left hand panel of the interface, firewall, off. All set.

I could never get Azureus working properly, I switched over to BitComet and that works fine.

Had the same problem using bt and same router, tried everthing and all failed. In the end i had to put xp on laptop fresh anyway and bingo problem was solved.

No nat problem on 31529.It was a real puzzle. One thing was xp firewall wasnt working right so i maybe had a trojan which avg, spybot and adaware didnt locate.

    Regards,Kieran

I got it working though port 7882 -

using the below on the router

    Service Name *BT
    Protocol TCP
    Global Port Range 7880 - 7885
    Base Host Port 7880

Does anyone know if i am on a network do i need to configure another port ofr another machine?

or do i leave the router settings and use port 7882 on one machine and 7883 on the other?
