I would love to see ghostbusters remade (with today's technology) although it would have to have Bill Murray in it for defo!

    What about you lot?

i'd like to see battle royale, oldboy and shaolin soccer redone with an all american (or white) cast.

failing that, they should re make the lord of the rings. with te advances we've made in the last 5 years.. think of how good it would look.

Hannibal - only this time dealing solely with the Pazzi/Mostro plotline. Would have made for a better movie.

    :)

I wouldn't mind seeing what Zack Snyder could do with the other Living Dead films after the awesome remake of Dawn.

I want DBZ made into a life action film and more streetfighter movies!

I reckon The Godfather with an all chimp cast. It would be better than all the other remakes because it would have monkeys dressed as people.

I'm going to keep repeating myself until it sinks in... chimps aren't monkeys!

I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of Forbidden Planet...

As much as I love Forbidden Planet, and how I feel the special effects still hold up really well... it's just that attitudes have changed so much since then... the IFI screened it there last year and was amazed at how chauvinistic it came across as.

It would have to be a decent director as I'd want it to be a nice mature science fiction film, not an action blockbuster.

Alien3, Alien4, Predator2, RoboCop2, Terminator2 & 3, StarWars 1 (and 2 & 3 & 6), JudgeDredd, in fact every comic book adaptation to date (including Tank Girl) .. all sucked in a major way and could do with being redone properly.

And whilst we are wishing: anything with Tom Cruise (to be redone without Tom Cruise).
Perhaps Bodhidharma's chimp idea could be used here?.

A samurai version of the dollers trilogy could be pretty sweet (especially the mexican stand off at the end of the good, the bad and the ugly). And mabey a remake of once upon a time in the west aswell? (Although they would have to be held with the upmost respect to the orignals)

I'd like to see the Japanese remake American horror films for a change!

I'd also second the comic book film remakes idea.

Love to see Lynch's classic Dune remade.....or alternatively wish someone could persuade him to release the uncut version which languishes in some unknown location......

Oh.. .how about Planet of the Apes with monkeys instead of apes? It could be called Planet of the Monkeys!

There's a third film in development, called Ghostbusters in Hell. Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis are currently finishing the script. Could be the cultural event of the decade, as long as they bring back the original cast and not a bunch of pretty boy rookies.

A film I saw recently for the first time in a donkey's age which I think could do with a complete remake is 'The Witches'. It really didn't have an awful lot going for it I felt. With today's effects, a better adaptation of the book and a better cast I think this could be a really good, dark kids movie.

yeah, wasnt a half bad attempt that, with some very 'ahem' interesting performances from the players...if only they'd had a budget...
