    Hi Slim,
We dont really meet up to run the MT's at all only myself and my son hop into a field and mess about. We must arrange a proper meet someday when i find a place suitable with a few humps etc.

Rebuilding the Revo at the moment.( getting treated to a 3.3 along with other stuff)

you got a new 3.3 engine or a new 3.3 revo?

If the engine, would you be willing to part with the old engine? ( i got a revo here in need of an engine and dont want the hassle of returning the old engine for a 3.3 upgrade if money can be saved elsewhere ;-) )

    Hi bud.
Yeah, It is a new 3.3 engine going in there but unfortunately the old 2.5r is prebooked.. That is going into my sons T-Maxx ( remember the one last year?)
Well the engine died so I am putting mine in there for him.
I am also going to have a look at his old one to see what it would take to rebuild it ,If it can be done cheaply enough I will sell it on and recoup some of the cost of the 3.3

    Cheers

How much did you pay for the 3.3 as traxxas offer a lifetime engine replacement plan, 140 dollars and your old engine shipped back to them and you get a brand new 3.3 back from them!!!

Dont use the UPS shipping or like me you could get caught for Import tax etc.

    £56 for this one ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,312 ✭✭✭SLIM19198

I have a bog standard engine in a box in the cupboard, looks like its wrote off but would do to get a replacement !!!

    HEHE

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,666 ✭✭✭✭vectra

    But,
By you doing that. what would the cost of shipping your one the thew US be?
Would it not be cheaper to register with Tower Hobbies to receive their newsletter.. Use the $20 discoun towards sending a new 3.3 to you.. that way I reckon it would end up cheaper.;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,248 ✭✭✭Plug

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,312 ✭✭✭SLIM19198

ok, the replacement engine is 130 US plus 30 us for P&P

the 3.3 on tower is 152.99 not including shipping, or vat!!!!

Prolly work out about the same, only you get to keep your old engine for parts!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,248 ✭✭✭Plug

Yeah i keep my old engine for parts, the only problem with it was the slieve and piston, everything else is top notch, i even have a brand new carburetter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,312 ✭✭✭SLIM19198

Whats worse is, I have a box here with a brand new carb, and spare heads for the original engine, just dont have no head screws to attach the head and nowhere in cork sells em!!!

I ordered some from modelsport at the start of the summer, but they sent the wrong ones and when i complained, they said thats all they have :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,248 ✭✭✭Plug
