AutoRoute 2006 - Very Bad Value

Microsoft's AutoRoute 2006 cost me €80 in a Dublin shop and its proving to be very bad value indeed. This software is advertised at £29 in PC World in the UK according to a link from Microsoft's own site but PC World in Ireland only sell the more expensive €100++ with sat-nav version.
Price-aside, when compared to the free on-line alternatives ( ViaMichelin or RAC RoutePlanner ) AutoRoute 2006 road information for Europe is out of date - even the "about" tag refers to "Microsoft 2005". I had a free older 2001 version that was bundled with Microsoft Works software supplied with a computer and the new 2006 version seemed practically the same apart from the possibility of linking to a sat-nav device which I do not have. Just a warning to others thinking of buying this product - don't!

Well, it works all right but my complaint related to the fact that it has out of date maps for Europe and is little different to the free version that Microsoft used to give away with its Works Suite 2001. That worked perfectly too and was well worth the money but the 2006 version is not - in my opinion.
