    Hiya all.
I love to listen to Liverpools Radio City (www.radiocity.co.uk) and recently they have blocked listeners from outside the UK due to licenceing issues. You get a voice telling you this instead of the live feed. I assume they are getting the info from my I.P. address. Is there anyway of fooling them and receiving the feed. I have 2 mbit broadband connection and am with irish broadband in Dublin.

one way is to connect to their server via proxy, but chances are you'll end up connecting at such a crap rate that it'll be useless to stream

If they are filtering based on IP address then a proxy is the only way to go but, as already said, the speed will probably be very poor. Although depending on your situation if getting ntl was an option then they use a UK IP, but I'd recomend getting someone with ntl to try to connect just to be sure, but of course changing your service provider is not very practical...

    lol
they're saving bandwidth by doing this... which saves them money, because their advertisers don't pay for the online broadcast, because the ads aren't aimed at irish (or beyond) people
