My nails have become increasingly brittle. I have enough calcium in my diet but my nails seem to grow to a certain length and then flake!!:(
I constantly have them painted with nail varnish recently which has helped a little bit but they remain quite soft. Can you recommend any polish or supplement that would help me achieve the talons I want? Thanks;)

A girl i work with uses this thing from the "essence" brand..you should find their stand in chemists and shops alongside the stands for brands..ie. max factor, loreal, no7.. its like a stick shape thing and its yellow in color, its got a brush at one end and you twist the other end to get the stuff out. its called 1 minute growth activator. You just brush it on and it dries in almost instantly...she swears by it anyway.

I've used stuff called "Nail Rescue" from Rimmel. Comes in a bottle like nail polish. You use it for 2 weeks. Seems to help strengthen nails

In the "Jessica" nail range, there is a product called Bend Don't Break which is excellent. You should be able to buy it in beauty salons, pharmacies or large department stores.
