cue/bin files are CD images not a video container per say but there are at least two possible ways I know of without looking deeper into the topic.

    1) Mount the VCD in a virtual drive and inside one of the folders you will find a .mpg file this is the actual movie, just copy it to your My Videos folder.

    2) My Movies can mount image files, cue/bin files are supported so you could just add entries for those and have them appear in it's database. You need to use daemon tools in conjunction with it there is more info in the FAQ section 17.

Internet shouldn't be a problem what kind of setup have you got, do you have a boradband router ?

have a modem/router connected to usb to main pc....it is a zyxel prestage 600 series....i have internet sharing enabled too..... are you really surprised that i cant get it to work.....im not!! lol!!!

actually there is a feature in that network magic program that deals with internet sharing, however i can't get it to find my router....

Network magic can actually auto configure certain routers but it only supports certain brands.

If you really dislike messing with network settings you could make life an awful lot easier by buying a router with ethernet/wireless capability that is supported by Network Magic or even one that isn't as you don't have to go through your PC for it to work.

I don't really know too much about your setup but there are plenty of detailed guides on how to correctly setup ICS.
Microsoft guide (setting up a network bridge beforehand)
    Alternative Microsoft guide (more techy)
    Third party guide

If you follow the Microsoft guides on setting up ICS manually it should work.

i understand about bridging and ICS, but whatevers wrong on my windows settings on my main pc, it wont let me connect easily!!!

Was thinking about a router, but would that really make my life easier or more difficult?!?

all i want out of this is to have my HTPC and my Xbox both connected to my pc and have the internet shared between them!

An all in one router with DSL modem, wired ethernet and wireless support would be way more easier as whatever is wrong with your main machine cannot interfere with either the HTPC or Xbox.

Something like this Belkin router would do the job and allow net access to any device plugged into it.

It really would save you a lot of hassle.

does the zyxle not have an ethernet port as well as usb?

and in terms of bin/cue files,
    give vcdgear a whirl. http://www.vcdgear.com/
its free and will extract the mpeg from a bin/cue in about 30 secionds,
without having to mount the file etc

it does, but im using the NIC on my HTPC for file sharing ATM, so cant use it for the internet. however if i did plug it in it works no bother!!

ill check out that router 8t8 , im actually waiting to hear back from BT broadband as they are supposed to be sending me a new modem...

how many machiens are you file sharing with?
    the zyxel is a router,
so when you plug 2 machines into it,
and let them to be part of the same workgroup you can share files between them.

I think the ZyXEL has only one ethernet port which is the problem.

It is for single machines only or at least that's what is on the images from Google when I looked at the ZyXEL 600 series, didn't see any USB port though on them and even if it did have one it's still a port short for either the Xbox or HTPC to allow all 3 devices share files & net access.

Hold off and see what BT send you though it could be a ZyXEL Prestige 623 which is the same as you currently have with only one ethernet/USB port.

    well,
maybe im reading that wrong, but......

it only has the one ethernet post alright....but in a thread in the comp/tech forum, i discussed how it was not letting my share files through the router, only letting me go online...

i think a router is the way to go, but i dont wanna shell out 80e to find out that it wont work either!!! lol!!!
