Record on Sky+ from your mobile?

Has anyone set up this function that allows you to browse the EPG on your mobile and then send a record request home to your Sky+ box to record a zselected programme? Just wondering if it works in Ireland and if you require your box to be connected to a phone line at all times for this to work.
