    that happened to a copy of cod 2 that i bought from cd-wow and i e-mailed them about it and they sent me an e-mail with where to post the game back to and gave me an e-voucher to cover the cost of postage once they got the game back .

    as that was the second time that had happened to a copy of cod2 ( one from smyths + one from cd-wow ) i told them that i did not want another copy of the game , so they refunded my credit card and i used the money along with the voucher at a later date to get G.R.A.W for €49 , and i have since bought cod 2 from play-asia for €35 delivered ;) ( the play-asia copy of cod 2 is not as tight in the box as the pal versions where ) .

    any satisfaction from activision? did they give you an address to send the disc back to?
    im currently sitting here with approx 99% of the loading progress bar full for "hill 400" and not going any further!
    360 scratched my disc bout 3 weeks ago and i havent really been arsed to look into it yet but its getting mighty frustrating

    Further to your correspondence of 7 July 2006

    Please see below for our out of warranty replacement policy. Cost would be £12 GBP for Xbox360 games.

    The warranty is limited to the recording medium containing the software program originally provided by ACTIVISION and is not applicable to normal wear and tear. The warranty shall not be applicable and shall be void if the defect has arisen through abuse, mistreatment or neglect. Any implied warranties applicable to this product are limited to the 90-day period.

    When returning merchandise for replacement, please send back the original product disks in protective packaging and include:
    UK.
    1. A photocopy of your dated sales receipt.

    2. Your name and return address, typed or clearly printed.

    3. A brief note describing the defect, the problem(s) you encountered and the system on which you are running the product.

    4. If you are returning the product after the 90-day warranty period, but within one year after the date of purchase, please include a cheque or money order made payable to Activision (UK) Ltd. The cost of replacement will be indicated in the game manual. A guide to the costs are either £6 or £10.00 depending on the PC CD-ROM title, £9 for PC DVD titles, £10 or £12 for PS 2 games depending on game title, £12 or £15 for Gamecube titles depending on the game, £12 X-Box/360 titles per replacement, £6 for GBA games, £12 for PSP games.

    go to cd wow, if you bought a prodoct from them your part of a contract with them its all on the consumer rights site, it says "[your product must be]fit for its normal purpose, and reasonably durable", if it broke when all you were doing was playing it then it wasn't fit for its normal purpose!

    If you get nowhere with them, ring microsoft tech support and tell them the 360 is breaking your games and see if they can help in any way.
    Plus, DON'T stand your 360 on its side, have it flat. That goes for all y'all

    Mines is the same ive to send it back with £12 sterling P. order, but ive no receipt, I got it about a week after launch, and its cracked now, anyone have a receipt for COD2 they can scan and mail me? It would be much appreciated, if not any experts on Photoshop, can diddle me one up from an old receipt? They only need a photocopy of it so I doubt it can be too much trouble...

    I sent mine off toactivision before and got a brand new one, they've obviously had a few sent back. I had a thread on here about it actually.
