Am2 maybe only just out the door, but I was wondering if anyone has any details on barebones systems that'll be out by the time Vista is released (January or so, the time I plan to build an AM2 system) that'll have 2 PCI-Express slots and a decent PSU to support them?. I hope there is plans for some, I know small form factor systems are all about being compact, but I'm hoping this time around they'll have 2 PCI-E slots so the small machine I build will still be able to cut it with the big boys graphically, otherwise I'll be stuck building another ugly midi tower again!.

Not 100% sure whats on the market right now for AM2 in terms of SFF's. In the event there aren't any it's a sure fire bet there will be as AMD future CPU's [K8L cores] will use socket AM2.

As for two PCI-E slots some already have that (x16 & x1 slot) Shuttle even have a system that accepts SLI (single slot cards only).

It is also possible to build your own near-SFF from off the shelf components with the Silverstone SG01 (I have one) and it accepts mATX motherboards & standard PSU's so all you have is wait for someone to make a mATX socket AM2 board with two PCI-E slots.

Edit: m-ATX AM2 boards are already available it seems on Komplett Gigabyte and MSI has some boards but they are x16 and x1 slots so no dual GPU support in case that's what you were after but with the SG01 you can use double height coolers so if high end 3D performance is what you want all of the flagship graphics cards are usable.

Evga made a s939 Sli M-atx board but it really only became available on its own recently, so I would recommend keeping my eye on them.

Re Barebones with Sli support keep an eye on Monarch

They released an SLI S939 Barebones

As an alternative why don't you build your own with a regular M-atx & a 7950x2, slap em in a sugo or something similar and away you go?
