Hair help!

My hair is driving me mental. During the day/week its fine. Its past shoulder length, layered in good condidtion and gernerally well behaved. I tend to wear it straight, with a side fringe and its grand. :)
However, when I'm out in pubs/clubs, its a bloody disaster :(
It won't hold its style, or shape. And I've noticed a horrible trend of "sweaty forehead" syndrome... I'm looking at all the other girls whose hair is sleek, glossy and styled, while mine goes limp, lank and sticky.
I've tried serums, mousse, hair spray? What am I not doing?
How do you hold yer style?
Ps I use GHD generally but I've tried in recent weeks to add volume. Either way it doesn't matter, I get sweaty lank hair.

My hair tend to do the exact same when i go out!!
Might be an idea to maybe try curling tongs to put some loose curls in your hair, makes it look thicker and fuller and with a good hairspray can last most of night.
Also try boots, they have a good range of different products for stopping damp / moisture frizzing your hair and making it limp. ive never tried them so im not sure if they work.
Have you ever tried upstyles? Can look really pretty with diamonte clips etc..
