Corvette - Which do you prefer?

I saw a Corvette near Stillorgan last week, and have fallen in love. I've been checking ebay, and they are realistically cheap, so I'm starting to save up...

Anyway there are loads and loads of different Corvettes, so which one does everybody prefer? I'll go through my opinions here:

The C3 - absolutely gorgeous shape. Enough said.
The C4 - gorgeous rear, fabulous interior (the 80's dials are the greatest I have seen in any car), lovely engine (the V8 looks good). The side profile is dangerous though, doesn't come close to the C3. But which is better?

The C1, C2 are too old for me and the C5 too new. I have a theory that classic convertibles don't look as nice as coupes, the windscreen is too flimsy and the body too sterile without the roof. Its true for Corvettes, compare the C3 bodies.

Also the C3 stingray isn't nice at all

I've got no photos, dunno how familiar you are with Corvettes so I assume you know what I'm on about. I'm new to the website.

I think this was the Corvette I saw.. thanks to eo980 from the classic car photo thread.

I like that shape too demc7, no idea what model it is even though I have a book on corvettes somewhere. Herself loves them, she oohhs and aahhs when we go to shows and there is one there, major brownie points if I picked one up when the Mustang go's. One major advantage is that they use some kind of Fiber glass for the body work so no rust I believe.

Not even TVRs can beat the shape. Fiberglass is the way to go. I'd hate to see it after a crash though but I guess thats the same with every classic? I doubt somebody would live a 20mph crash with that V8 in on top of the cabin
