Does Ctrl+Alt+4 (with euro and dollar sign on it) not work?

AltGr + 4, that should definitely work

Unless theres some sort euro patch that they forgot (which is highly unlikely) the above should work.

Does it work in any other application? What are your user and system locales set to?

I have IE 7 beta 3 installed and the € symbol doesn't work for me in it either, works just fine everywhere else though.

    Must be a bug

As 8T8, works fine in all other applications?

    I've IE7 Beta2, and AltGr + 4 makes the € (euro) sign.

:o should have read the thread more closely, I was pressing Ctrl+Alt+4 all the time AltGr+4 does indeed work for the € in IE7 beta 3.

YES IT DOES! I wonder why ALT/CTRL/4 doesn't work then? Thanks every one.

MS are probably trying to get away from the non-standardness of the ctrl+alt combos for extra characters (like €, ¦ and accents and stuff) - the whole reason Alt Gr is there is for stuff like this! If you use any other OS you'll see what I mean.
