I have a laptop & an old PC.
The old PC has a keyboard with all those extra buttons for internet & stuff.
I have the two linked using a cross over cable, so I downloaded the drivers for the keyboard using the laptop.

When they were downloaded I meant to select the drivers on the desktop & transfer them across to the PC to install them.

    ONLY:-
I double clicked on them by accident & they began to install & then I cancelled the installation (i think)

Anyhow, now everytime I boot up the laptop, I get the following errors:-

    Couldn't open keyboard drivers "MSIKBD.VXD"

    Cannot find MSMIXMGR.DLL

Couldn't get Mixer Entry Points (MSMIXMGR.DLL)

(All you can do is click ok to all these errors)

    Then you get:-
OSD caused a general protection fault in module osd.exe at 0003:02E7
    Choose close. OSD will close.

The keyboard on the laptop works fine though, it's just the errors are very annoying.

It's a Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows XP

    Anyone any ideas?
Reckon reinstalling with original keyboard drivers would do the trick?
Entered the service tag into the Dell website & it didn't give me a choice of any keyboard drivers to download.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Try Using system restore on the laptop. This restores all drivers and system files to a selected date(it dosent delete any of your files).
On the laptop go start-allprograms-accessories-systemtools-system restore.
Choose restore my computer to an earlier time and press next. Choose a restore point before you installed those drivers(you click a date and choose a restore point, there may have been one created automatically just before you installed those drivers) and press next. It will show your selection, then press next. This will take a few mins and your laptop will restart.

    Hope this works for ya,

Or just go to add remove programs in control panel and remove the keyboard software.

    Thanks ab_Cork, I'll try that.
