How much work does it need? what's the mileage, spec, colour inside and out, N.C.Ted? How much do you want for it and post some photos if you want to sell it. As I always say, if the price is right I'll buy it.:)

    Hi Mike

This is the owner of the merc (The Bird)!
I don't know who did the conversion, but I bought it from a guy who lives in Gorey - Wexford for 6 months of the year and Australia for the other six months and he couldn't bear to part with her either but his wife made him get rid of it cause he already had another car. The original owner of the car is from Clontarf because he saw me driving her once and ran up and reminisced about the good old times.

Joe reddy on the North Strand has done a bit of work on the car - he has worked with a lot of old Mercs

Sorry can't be of more assistance.

I think I know the car.

I am fairly certain I know the owner .... judging by the parking in the photo (3 feet from the kerb)

If I am right then the springs in the back seat won't be too good.

I don't suppose you have the original engine? I'm not a big fan of diesel conversions tbh.:(

That's 12 inches ... you have been spoiled.

I think you only find trolls in the Lord of the Rings, down in New Zealand. Did you meet any there?
