New RP Site

What do we think of it?

I think it's better, although some will disagree but this is generally down to being so used to the older one. For those who read form a lot, the way you can scroll down all the horses in each race is very handy. Much more user friendly now I think...although maybe a bit too white.

I can't really see a whole lot of new features, everything just seems to be moved around a bit.

You could always go through all of the form easily enough through the form window, you just changed the horse in the selection box.

One thing I do like is the trends option below each race which gives you details of previous runnings of the race.

My ratings system threw a wobbly it reads the racecards from the RP site, had to spend a few hours getting it to work with the new format.

No, what I mean is, you can scroll down all the horses in a particular race in the form box. That's a nice new feature.

The wider view on each page is handy, although they seem to be having some problems with things resizing in the frames correctly.

I would have liked some sort of facility which allowed you to compare a number of horses/races against each other in an attempt find pointers to form.

I see what you mean now. It only has a max of 10 races per horse though.

On a side note one thing I would have really liked to see on the horse form screen is the ability to filter the form. I.e. only list races on G/S ground or over between 1m and 1m2f or Course form etc.

Not exactly what you're looking for but on the Sporting Life site, when you view the card for an individual race there is an option for 'Head-to-Head' which will find any other times 2 horses have raced against one and other.

Cheers will take a look. Will make it easier than me with my multiple pop up windows all over the place from Racing Post at the moment.

It will probably take a while to find my way around, but it seems fine to me. It is an amazing facility for statistics. I don't know what people must have done before the RP, all for free too :)

The one thing that really bugs me though is the way that it wont save your password, and you have to log in every time. I was hoping they would change this with the new site, but no such luck.
