Stag - Paradiso

I've got mates coming over to Galway this week for a stag - going to Paradiso on Sat night.

Can anyone tell me what's it like - seedy or classy or what?

I know that it was taylors bar before and I believe they've kept some of the features like the bar, etc... I presume there is a smoking section at the back.
Beer prices? Expensive (silly question really).
Hopefully it's better than some of those dogdy soho ones in london.

Just want a heads up beforehand so we know what we are letting ourselves in for!

don't expect much,i was in there a couple of times,its a bit crap,half of the girls are hot and half are pigs,the chic that tried chattin myself and a mate up looked like she'd gone 6 rounds with mike tyson,when they dance around the pole they don't even take there top off,sheeeeeeeeeeeeet!

but i'm sure you'll have a great laugh if your there with your mates:D

dont bother a dance is 40 and they dont come near you anything more is 80. the girls look as bored as the punters. the drink is the same price as everywhere else. nearly forgot its 20 in. its an expensive night all round.

they make you sit down,they dance like, well away from ya. Birds not great lookin at all. fairly small place too. Real narrow.

got a dance from a ****ing lovely Czech chick when i went in, she was pure chatty. it's kind of hard to have a conversation with someone when they're waving their box in your face:p

Okay - I've never been into the joint but have met a few dancers from there and they were definitely not trafficked over. One was from England and made regular trips back home to see family and friends.

Having said that I obviously haven't met all the girls so couldn't say completely.

I haven't been there myself but I live near by. From what I've seen of the girls working in there I can't see myself going there in future either..

You mean the age difference? Actually Halo is the best club in Town so this is a good suggestion.

The reason the bouncers are there at Paradise Club is to stop the girls escaping (may or may not be actually true)

The late bars around the town are as good as the nightclubs for action!

Drinks getting spiked is a problem in some nightclubs................so beware.

Late bars for defo are as good if not better than the clubs.

Drink spikeing is being blown out of proportion,it happens but its rare.When someone wakes up the following day and cant remember a thing its "oh my drink must have been spiked".Not accepting the fact that the only spikeing done that night was by themselves or mates loading redbull up with double vodkas.
For a while,there was a romour going around that CPs was "really dangerous" for girls getting their drinks spiked.Stand outside the place after it finishes and look at how many of "daddys little angels" fall out the place pished as farts with their skirts up around their kacks.So bladdered they cant even walk but head back to a house party for more booze and drugs.

Either way if it does happen its as likely to happen in a late bar as a club in any city or town in the country.I would be be more wary of someone knicking me drink than trying to spike me.

Eh, no but then I haven't been to Sir Henrys.

OP, you'll want to consider Quays Bar as well. Mad for Stags and Hens, live music and open late (usually a band playing upstairs too)

I agree with you about people getting loaded and then blaming spiking but I would say drink spiking's not as rare as you'd think.

It happens alright thats for sure and im talking from having been spiked myself.I wasnt hanging out with the best crowd at the time so i have only myself to blame.Luckily i knew what was happening to me but i was well pi55ed off that someone had done it to me.But it is extremly rare for it to be found in the system of a person that has claimed to have been spiked,majority of the time its a high alcohol content in their bloodstream.

A cousin of mine was spiked a couple of weekends ago in a galway nightclub. Nasty business........
