It means Punchestown, they have a small van/portacabin at the entrace with a ticketmaster sign

When I started to seeing those Oxegen ads only a month or two ago on buses/websites/etc., I knew something was up. Sure, it's "sold out" right?

It's a win-win move for MCD, touts will suffer and the early "sell out" will no doubt breed hype for next year.

what about the touts that buy the tickets now. Chances are they will just be bought on more stolen credit cards which possibly wont be cancelled in time for them to be detected on mcd's scanners at the concert.
There will always be touts- as long as people are stupid enough to pay over the odds for tickets!

True but you have to remember that buying them this late you have no hope of having them posted to you - and if you go down you can usually pay in *hush hush* - so that really anally rapes the touts.

Indeed, some people seem slow to catch on. They are doing this with all big events now to try and get the touts out. Any gig thats expected to sell out, they hold some back and sell them off 1 week before the event, like they did with U2 in Croker. A great idea on their part i say.

When I finally decide that it won't happen and get a ticket for 200, they go back on sale 4 days later.

god that really sucks, but at least all the other touts are now finally getting what's coming to them. Prob not going myself but soo glad other people got sorted. think its actually getting quite hard to flog tickets, people have even started selling below cost now!
