Doesn't give much specific information on it, but at least you know it's from Dublin I guess..

Well the 00000 number was obviously the Ghost of Christmas Present.
The other one was either past or future.

Probably future reminding you to buy that Turkey in the butcher shop window. :p

I think it's santy's little helpers. I heard you fell into the grey area between "naughty" and "nice" known as "chancer".

Due to cutbacks, the little helpers are ringing around to try categorise those people to avoid giving all "chancers" pressies as in previous years.

That'll be Santa Clause's fax machine. Stick your television onto a channel that hasn't been tuned in and play the audible snow to the fax and it'll send you your bestest Christmas present via reindeer.

Slightly offtopic but what was that website where you could search for details behind those spam txts? I keep getting ones from a number 57080 and when I tried replying with the word stop, i got subscribed to something else. It's very irritating as I get three a day :(

That's a Sri Lankan number. Maybe the Tamil Tigers have a recruitment drive on at the moment.

Not sure, but sometimes calls from your mobile operator will come up with "00000". It may depend on the caller's telecoms infrastructure (PSTN, VoIP, etc) & how the network you are on deals with incoming calls from that infrastructure.

It's your future self calling you to tell you not to bother freezing yourself to speed up the wait for the PS3, as you'll wake up in the distant future where technology is far too advanced to find a telly to play it on.

    But seriously.

It's AIB 24 hour banking, I used to work for them.

The number is for AIB credit card services

You'll receive a call from this number if you haven't paid your c/c in time

If you need to respond and they have not left a voicemail, and they won't, you can dial 016685566

I got missed calls from this number also for last couple of evenings at same time. Regarding comment above re not paying cc on time, I have paid my bill so is there other reason AIB would ring from this number? Has anyone actually spoken to someone ringing from this number?

Sometimes if you make a purchase, they do a random check - especially if it's for a small amount to ensure you've not fallen prey to credit card fraud.

They don't leave a message so you can't call back. Was busy most of this evening and had 3 missed calls from them on my phone. No voicemail left. Very annoying to call people few times in an evening but yet leave no message and call from a number that can't be called back on.

Hi, just joined as googled the number 016410000 and you guys came up..
I've had 12 calls from this number in the last week, new bill phone contract from vodafone and haven't given the new number out yet, as using up the end of my 3 contract.

Calls started mainly around lunchtime, now always after 6pm, when you try to answer, it just hangs up and to ring back, the number comes back as not in service?? Rang Vodafone just there, they can't really do anything but gave me a number to ring, a telephone regulator, who might be able to help.. 1850 741741. I'm not with AIB so a bit perplexed! Any help gratefully received, as it's getting a bit annoying! Thanks

Did you try ringing your network provider, they can sometimes help, they helped me unsubscribe before and even gave me free credit to do it.
