You save about €5 buying the console online. Not worth it. Better off picking up one of the bundle offers in a games shop in town. See here for various deals available: http://www.irishgamer.ie/features.php?id=5&page=1

aye, buy it in the shops.
they seem to be plagued by dead pixels, so at least you'll be able to get a replacement handily. (mine has 2 on the top screen but 1 is barely noticeable and i've already got used to the other)

As deals go, Virgin (in Liffey Valley at least) are offering the rrp of €149.99 or a DS Lite and Brain Training, or Tetris iirc for €159.99. Best deal I've come accross so far, given that I know nothing of the games but that brain training was recommended by many.

Made the purchase. Now the waiting game to let it fully charge begins! I normally get impatient and never give things a proper charge and end up regretting it!

Mine had enough charge for about 4 hours of play out of the box. Why would you end up regretting it?

Because when im sat on a plane for 12 hours and no charging ability!
