    Is this really a 3rd party wi-fi heaset for $15 rather than the $50 or so that the official MS one is supposed to be coming out for later in the year? It's sounds too cheap but does seem to suggest that it uses the wi-fi for connecting to the xbox rather than just via a cable to the controller.

    * Comfortable, stylish design
    * Crystal clear sound
    * Mic positioned near mouth – no need to shout…
    * Works with WiFi connection
    It took a bit of finding but seems that it is a case of an over excited product marketing person who saw that the controlers that they plug into are wireless and figured that was a great feature to add to the product blurb for the one he was trying to shift in the hope of confusing a few people.

    The actual bluetooth wireless one is on Amazon for the more expected price of £60:

    The only thing with that one though, is that you have to plug a puck into the Xbox 360 controller, whereas when the official Microsoft one comes out, it will connect directly by wi-fi to the 360. It will also have 4 LEDS on it so that you can identify which controller it is associated with.

    My source of info Major Nelson's podcast interview with the accesories guy after E3 they talk about this and some other accesories.

    I think the last dashboard update that we got was supposed to include updates for the official camera and headset so someone else should be coming out with a cheaper version of the wifi headset soon enough I'd expect though.
