The photos are very interesting. Nice one.

One a different matter I love the 65 min Rapid Link link branding for the Navan-Drogheda line. Get's right to the point in black and white terms and how it will benefit people.

Perhaps you should get a logo to reinforce this concept for bumber stickers and the like. Speeding train image flying between Dublin - Drogheda and Dublin?

Still got 300 'Navan Rail Now Not 2015' stickers to go through first..!

It was the Drogheda piece that led to the 'Navan Rail Now' slogan..

But Navan Drogheda is our short term priority - there is no guarantee anything will be delivered (as before) so upgrading what you have in the short term makes sense..

The difference in original construction quality between this railway and the light and twisty tramway built across rural Mayo is really striking-all that slid granite is very impressive. Compared to the dozens and dozens of level crossings along the WRC, I know where I'd rather my tax dollars went! Navan is an investment in the future!

that hotel looks like the biggest prob if he doesn't want to go, could put the hippies to shame with court delays

It is - they don't make stuff like that anymore. The track bed is still very firm along the alignment. It was perfectly maintained until it closed apparently..

Then it was literally asset stripped. Rails sold off for scrap, etc. Pity - the granite really is fantastic.

As far as I can tell there were only 2 road level crossings on the route. One is a track now, the other at Rathregan is a very seldom used road..

There are other access gates periodically along the route but every road was bridged bar Rathregan.

It might be easier to go around Kilmessan - there is loads of space to the west.. You could avoid the block of houses and the hotel with a mild deviation from Lambertstown..

The food in the Station House is fantastic by the way..
