Apart from Maplin and PC World in Wellpark.

Is there anywhere in Galway city itself (shop street and it's neighbouring streets) that sells Ethernet cross-over cables?

I don't have the time to walk over to wellpark or Curry's at lunch.

    No, not really.
You could try your look asking a netcafe or electricians, but you're probably best just going to Maplin/wherever after work.

not sure if it helps, but i was in the phone repair place (above the joke shop, on shop street)

they are doing computer repair, & selling pc's - not sure if new or reconditioned

but they might be able to help you out.

is that not on sean mulvoy rd. or did they move?

you could probably chance any of the internet cafes around town. might get lucky.

i got fed up having lots of straight-throu cables from working places that i made a little adapter out of a old network card and a short piece of cable. turn a straight cable into a cross-over "just-like-dat".

handy what you can do with a soldering iron and too much free time .:)

a bit of a hijack but, does anyone know of anywhere to get a cheap/ordinary monitor cable?
