Ask on the Digital Media board. You're talkin' QuarkXpress, InDesign, Illustrator, Freehand, that sort of stuff. You could get by in Word and Photoshop, but they're not made for it, really.

Now, is it A4, A3, or A2 you're looking for? Remember, printers print at 300dpi.

by the description it sounds like your looking for A2 (4 times the size of A4)- Photoshop can do this fine. (DadaKopf why do you say it's not made for this?)

From what I think you want to do, you could try the following :

Interpolating your raw file to A2 (420mm x 594mm) at 300 DPI,use some guides or a grid to cut out the 4xA4s and save each.

Of course if you where looking for one a2 poster, you could always get this done at photobox or similar for a reasonable price?

anyhow, hope that helps. I can give you better explanation if you want....

I seen a place in Dublin city centre recently that prints A0 size for just €60. I'm sure they have good prices for A2.

You'd only have to bring the image burned to CD to them. Much less hassle than trying to paste four A4's together. Does your printer print all the way to the edge of the page?

What printer do you have? You can do this in the printer driver itself (under Advanced) with a lot of Epson printers (including mine).

Thanks for all the replys and advice, I have an Epson R200 that will do borderless printing, I wanted to have a mess around doing one or two larger size printouts just to see how they turnout before I get them done commercially. :)
