    Hi,

Might be heading to Dortmund for a weekend early in August for some football, can anyone recommend who/where to fly with/to? Dusseldorf and Cologne look close enough, but personal experience would be gratefully appreciated.

Best way anyhow is fly into dusseldorf - maybe a 4/5 hour train journey after that.

I'm living near cologne, been to dortmund stadium for WC so is cool, My advise would be fly to dusseldorf(probably closest) and you can get a train direct from the airport, depending on what train you use takes 45min+. Ic and ice costs around 14-18 euro(each way) and regional tickets(not much time diff) about 8,00(i think). You can get this info of bahn.de. Drop me a pm if you have any q's
