Guess my hand?? A guy at the table guessed it EXACTLY!!

OK this hand freaked me out a bit. One of the guys involved in the hand guessed my exact hand after I had folded and there was discussion about it on the table after...

Sorry about the layout of the HH but it'd take too long to write everything out, as each action is needed really...

Anyway, it's a .50/1 Full Ring Game and the people involved in Pot....

UTG - Seat 9: yummymummy31 ($120 in chips) (Rock - VPiP 10 - PFA 3)
UTG+3 Seat 2: HERO ($125.60 in chips) (Me playing TAGish - mostly in Position - hadn't shown down any hands except an ABC played AA against a Fish)
MP - Seat 3: blackJ2 ($119.70 in chips) (very tight)
BB - Seat 8: j Skeeze ($137 in chips) (very loose passive pre-flop player - good player after the flop - likes to pick up pots with cheapish bets and normally folds to a re-raise, but can make some good plays) (HE'S THE ONE WHO GUESSED MY HAND EXACTLY)


ANTES/BLINDS
pingu15 posts blind ($0.50), j Skeeze posts blind ($1).

PRE-FLOP
yummymummy31 calls $1, - ty - folds, AeternaRoma folds, HERO calls $1, blackJ2 bets $5, LoDuque folds, will jr folds, homer34xx folds, pingu15 folds, j Skeeze calls $4, yummymummy31 calls $4, HERO calls $4.

FLOP [board cards 4D,QS,2C ] POT - $20
j Skeeze checks, yummymummy31 checks, HERO checks, blackJ2 checks.

TURN [board cards 4D,QS,2C,4H ] POT - $20
j Skeeze bets $5, yummymummy31 folds, HERO bets $15, blackJ2 calls $15, j Skeeze folds.

RIVER [board cards 4D,QS,2C,4H,8D ] POT - $50
HERO bets $30, blackJ2 bets $99.70 and is all-in, HERO folds.

This might be a little situation dependant as all the players involved in the Pot had been at the table for a while... But can anyone guess my hand???

OK, I suppose HJ and AJ are the closest, but I would have folded anything except QQ to this Re-raise. I actually had A5s, but they were basically irrelevant after the turn.

I had thought that 22, 45s, 35s were the only hands I could have played like this. Until the River when I thought only 22 would bet here....

OK, here's my reason for playing the hand as I did, incase anyone wants to comment, although it was very situation specific.

Obviously I checked the flop hoping to get a free card to hit my 3 or possibly get a flush draw.

I raised on the turn, because I was 80% sure Skeeze would fold (as he only did this with nothing) (so I thought bet $15 to win $25) I wasn't too worried about the other guy because he was Raising PF and then check folding Post Flop alot, he was very weak tight.

So when the PF raiser called the turn, alarm bells were ringing but after playing with him for a while, I thought there was a good chance he'd fold alot of hands on the River. As I was sure he'd bet the flop with AA, KK or AQ. I had him calling the turn with 1010, JJ, QQ and AK. (And these were basically his PF raising range) So I decided to have a pop at the pot on the river, thinking he'd fold all those hands bar QQ.

After the hand the Skeeze guy said "nb, HERO had nothing" and the other guy asked him what he thought I had? and his answer was A5!! I just said "LOL, I folded a house"

But I was wondering how the Feck he put me on that. I had already put him down as a good Post Flop player, so I avoided him for a bit after this, but this hand worried me that he could guess THIS exact hand???? And was I playing too predictably. As it turned out it was just Luck, because after a while his play was so predictable I won a good bit off him. ...

Funny man. It took me ages to read thread, only saw it when last poster posted before him...was on the verge of puttin down A3, toss up. Honestly, I swear!!!!!!:)

Do you know what odds France were against Brazil on betfair ? , they were 4-1 in the bookies ....... outstanding value !!! With that and Dylan Thomas coming home was a good weekend

Ok he got it right, but, was there enough info for him to rule out all but one holding ?. I don't think so, look at the variety of suggested hands posted in reply.

This type of read / misread ? can be very costly when and if its the basis for you making a play at the pot. ie; he's wrong more times than he's right. = -EV
