    1) Download driver cleaner.

    2) Make sure you have .NET 1.1 installed.

    3) Download Catalyst 6.6.

    4) Uninstall current ATI control panel & driver via add/remove.

    5) Upon reboot ignore & dismiss prompts to install display driver.

    6) Run driver cleaner & remove remnants of previous ATI drivers.

    7) Run Catalyst 6.6 installer.

Hopefully that should sort it out and get the CCC working again, from there try the display configuration, remember to try low resolutions first like 640x480 or 800x600 when running the PC through s-video and see how far the resolution scales once it's working.

open up msconfig and check to see you didnt uncheck any driver componants from the startup. A lot of guides tell you this.

Use the windows installer cleanup utility to remove the entry, then try proceeding after that with the Catalyst 6.6 installer.

I used to use the ati catalyst cc but i dont anymore. As far as I remember you must run a display setup wizard which guides you through everything. Alternatively, just right click your desktop and press properties, go to the settings tab, click on the big 2 and tick extend my desktop onto this monitor, then press apply. This will stretch your desktop to your tv and you can then drag windows over there. If you want fullscreen video etc on your tv drag a windowed version of your video player to your tv and then go into fullscreen mode. Hope this works for you!

That might or might not be the right av channel. Make sure your cables are connected properly(im assuming your using an s-video cable?) and go for the settings and tick that box and apply like I said. Then get the remote for your tv and press the av button a few times, scroll through all the av channels, it could be any of them, If that dosent work I dont know what will, Maybe you have some kind of hardware problem??

Sorry man cant think of anything, I don't have a box with an ATI card with me at the moment so I cant recall the exact layout of the TV/display config.

Have you tried lowering your desktop resolution or ticking the box to extend my desktop on the second display which if memory serves was sometimes treated as the TV out.

If the wizard for the TV out isn't working then I'm not sure what else it could be.

Okay as luck would have it a laptop just passed my way with an ATI X600 GPU in it so here is exactly what I did to connect to a TV with s-video and it worked first time.

Plugged s-video lead into TV out on laptop & into TV
    Opened CCC
    Enabled Advanced mode
    Clicked on display manager section
Right clicked on display "2" and selected enable
    Clicked on force detect displays
It found the TV and set it up as a second display
Brought up the S-video channel on the TV and it worked showing the desktop
Max resolution allowed for that TV was 1024x768 over s-video

    That's it.
