Feathering of solid oak floor board

    Hi all,

Just a quick question - we finished putting down a solid oak - prefinished floor at the weekend - looks superb but I noticed on one baord (in middle of floor) that the surface seems to have feathered away slightly leaving a slight splinter effect on the surface (total area only about 1 inch square) but it's annoying me. Given that the boards are prefinished is there any nifty way to repair this damaged board (eg epoxy resin glue under feather) ?

    Thanks.

I always use superglue for that if we get a chip out of furniture when delivering.
We have a bottle of Superglue that is recommended for plastic and metals that worked well yesterday on wood.
We use a polyeurethene foaming glue for tougher jobs like tables and furniture.
You can also use PVA wood glue and put a weight on it overnight.
    It turns clear when dry.

Make sure any glue you use is waterproof,
