ok i normally wouldn't post here but this has me in a bit of a moral dilemma.

a good friend of mine (of many years) has been going out, and living, with his girlfriend for about 2 years or so.

recently i was made a single man, and his gf (who is a friend of mine now i suppose) encouraged me to chat to her (let it all out, etc. etc.), which was grand. we ended up having one or two epic conversations about our lives, and she now knows stuff about me that no one really knows, so we became closer friends then we otherwise would have been.

but then she started saying how she "liked me, or more"... now i've no interest in her in that way at all, and i've told her that. but now i'm having a debate with myself over wether i should tell him (her bf) about this.

as i said, i normally wouldn't post stuff up on PI, but this is something i've never faced before so a bit of advice would be nice... i don't want to ruin their relationship. right now i'm thinking what he doesn't know wont kill him, but then again, if she said that to me, what's to stop her going off with someone else... arg!

Don't say a thing. That road just leads to trouble and nothing has happened so far to justify your friend being worried.

She's confusing sharing intimate thoughts with actually being intimate. You've opened up to her and it looks like she has misconstrued it. Wouldn't bother mentioning it tbh.

    don't tell him man.

very complicated situation, if both of them are indeed your friends and you have no interest in her, don't tell him.

if she cheats on him down the line and you know, then tell him, but for now say nothing man. Keep it to yourself

Its best not interfere in their relationship so best say nothing. :)

Make it clear to her that nothing is going to happen between you.

You've both become very close and maybe she sees something thats missing from her own relationship. This doesn't mean that she's about to run off with any bloke that comes along.

Don't tell your friend. She hasn't cheated on him. Perhaps things just aren't too good with them at the moment. Don't ruin their relationship over a comment.

No, dont tell him. because she has misconstrued things doesnt mean she will cheat

Women get confused all the time .... The conversations they have with people about their relationship would astound their partners.

Don't tell him, It'll bring up all sorts of self confidence issues and he'll be jealous of you. On the other side. She'll feel betrayed because she told you this in confidence.

Shes probably going through a bit of a not communicating phase with her other half.. it'll blow over.

you hit the nail on the head... I think a lot women confuse emotions etc though, like sex.... women can't seperate sex from love, they think it's "making love" and not just having sex, that's why they can't understand why some men cheat, they think it should be an act of "love" but now I'm going way off, that's a topic for another discussion....

that's what i said and she had one of those "meh... i dunno" faces on her.

anyway, resounding no there, thanks ladies and gentlemen.
