Having just gotten my GB micro out for the first time in a while at the weekend - I was pleasantly surprised to come across this movie this morning:

    http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n08/bit_g/movie/index.html

Essentially these new "bit generation" games, as opposed to the similarily named DS "touch generations" (Nintendogs, Brain Training etc etc) are stylistically similar, but quite original looking games.

They look great - and will retail for around €20. (came across it via eurogamer).,

They look good alright. Interesting and simple to play, that's what I like to see.

Had a go of the 3 games.

The good news is that all the in game menus and language is English. Boundish seems to be a series of pong-type minigames. Its ok. DIALHEX is more interesting. Its a clever block-puzzle game that's quite addictive.

DOTSTREAM is actually a racing game. You are one of the coloured lines and you race against the other 4. Its quite fun.

With all 3 the music and styling are top notch. Almost chic. They look quite good on my gameboy micro. Its almost like something you'd expect Apple to make.

If I had to rank em:

    1. DIALHEX
    2. DOTSTREAM
    3. BOUNDISH

once again, the good news - import friendly.

Yeah I agree. Great little games..... Boundish is a bit weak though.

I've had Dial hex in my lik-sang basket for the last few weeks, just need to finish off the order.

I too spent the weekend getting my game boy on. Finished 3 games that have been sitting on my shelf for the last 3 or so years. Mario vs Donkey Kong, Klonoa and Lost Vikings. Small games, brilliant playability but I suspect not much replay value...
