USA Trip Advice

Im heading off on a trip this week to San Francisco for 6 days, then driving to vegas for 3 days, grand canyon for 1 day, and L.A for 3 days. I would appreciate any advice, Do's and Dont's etc.. from anyone who has done this trip.
