We've been through this many a time on this forum - you wont get insurance in a classic until you are 25  .

Policies are cheap if your car

    a) is 20 years old or more
    b) is your second car
    c) has an agreed annual milage
    d) you have a full licence
    e) you are over 25 with a nice clean history and NCB

There's some flexibility in a few of those rules but basicly thats the criteria.

    Mike.

    Hi tyther,

As far as I know you would still have to insure a modern car first and get classic insurance on a classic then.

Yes that would work. But do you really want a classic? If you don't then you could also do that with a modern car.

No, that won't work, because the Named driver MUST adhere to the same criteria, otherwise that named driver will NOT be insured to drive the vehicle: so over 25 years of age, with a full license.
