    Hi,
I'm going to be going to Spain in the morning, it would be handy if I could bring some food (porridge, sultanas and nuts) to keep me going for the first few days for breakfast at least and I also want to bring some vitamins etc (cod liver oil, echinacia etc, all things you'd get in a health shop). I rang Aer Lingus and they told me to ring the department of agriculture but they wont be open before I board.

    Any feedback appreciated:)

Oh and how strict are Aer lingus with baggage weight?

I cant see why there'd be any problem with any of the things you mention.

If it were me going I wouldn't have thought twice about them! But I'm open to correction!

You can buy all of that stuff over there, so why pack it?

AL are usually pretty cool about baggage excess unless you're completely taking the pi$$ (i.e. more than a couple of kg over the limit). However, on your return, the ground handlers for Aer Lingus might not be so forgiving!
