I'm trying to close my paypal account so I can re-open it under my Irish details; I've wiped my bank account details however I have 6p in the balance; when I try to close the account I get the option of either adding an account or donating it to charity; if I select the charity option I get stuck in a loop of confirming the donation, giving a reason for cancelling and then being told I can't close the account because I have money in it.
Given that it would cost me more than the 6p to transfer the money out to a bank account what exactly can I do to wipe my balance clean so I can make the switch over?
