Aiken and EP have already confirmed that teh Ireland v Germany game will be shown in the cinema tent at Electric Picnic and MCD have said nothing about the World Cup Final been shown anywhere

They shouldnt show it. They're not obliged to so they mightnt go to the trouble. But Im sure if there are big screens in one of the huge tents in the campsites, they might show it there.

There are mysterious tents in the campsites, so maybe. But the festival is sold out so why should mcd go to the trouble of showing it.

I'm 99% sure they won't be showing it.

If they show it they'll have to show it on a large screen due to demand. Will set up a large screen and large area that will cater for thousands of people wanting to watch the match at absolutely no profit to MCD? I doubt it. There would be no logic whatsoever setting a small screen in a small area for health/safety reasons either (not like MCD have ever given a damn about though)........

but the main reason they won't show the match is plain simple. The match starts at 7pm and will last to 8:55 at earliest (possibly could go onto 9:45). If they showed the match it would reduce attendance on all stages on that Sunday night.... bands playing onstage during that time period won't accept that for obvious and understandable reasons and MCD will not want half empty stages for bands playing a prime slot being second last on the bill.

This is MCD, showing it won't make them any more money

    It won't be shown.

MCD have shown sporting events on several occasions. Not everything they do is about money making believe it or not. I'd be surprised if highlights weren't shown on the main stage between acts, with constant updates on the ticker.

I'd put money on them showing it on the big screens in Campsite A

Tis part of some chrazsee dutcsh scene - they had it at Glastonbury last year but I didn't find it or hear how it went either. Think you pay a deposit for special headphones - music is transmitted wirelessly and you have a volume control so can do what you want with that!

yip you pay a deposit for wireless headphones and they transit different channels with different types of music which you can select so you can all be bopping away to different sounds

Hey, this is close enough to the topic! Someone said EP will be showing Ireland V Germany, never mind that!! Will they be showing the All Ireland Final... it just hit me there. Being a Cork man and of course not being in any way over confident it surely will be shown in the cinema tent??
