taking down paper border

    Does anyone know an easy way of taking down a paper border? tried already but its very hard to remove. took me a day to remove 10m.

    Have you tried one of those wallpaper remover thingys that force steam at the paper in order to soften it? I used one a few years back but the going can be slow if the paper is very stubborn.

    This sounds like a vinyl border and also sounds like it's put on with adhesive rather than paste...it's going to be tough even with a steamer.

    You could try chemical stripper but it may be a bit OTT pricewise.

    I favour the old ways for doing things like this...a sponge and hot water with washing up liquid. Keep wetting the border. Leave it to soak, then try and get the top layer of vinyl off...then re-wet the backing and leave to soak again...then some elbow grease and a stripping knife.
