Enterprise will probably be the cheapest for medium term rental
I think they have a place in Dun Laoire but look up their website

Carzone now have a hire car search facility through Argus Car Rental:

    https://www.argusrentals.com/affiliates/afullrequest.asp?client=21260

Don't know if their rates are cheap though.

Enterprise are about probably the cheapest. You can use your own insurance to cover it (assuming you have a policy) but you will need to bring your policy for verification.

    www.enterprise.com

www.avis.ie Avis can be reasonable - especially if the rental is for 3 days or more.

thanks guys, i checked enterprise and they were really expensive as my sister is under 25 so they charge a under age fee of 170:eek:

Underage fee is a lot less with AVIS. Not sure what min age is though.

Also worth noting is that if she plans on taking the car outside the republic she'll have to pay extra.

Is there an underage charge if she's an additional driver on the rental ? If not, just put the rental in your name and then name her as an additional driver !

No extra charge for NI with AVIS.

The rental company will still want age of addditional driver - and then they will still charge the extra fee.

with avis additional drivers gotta meet the same requirements as renters.. age, license and credit ID.

and additional drivers are subject to the same underage fee as renters

As with most rental companies - except for the credit - one acceptable credit card is usually enough.
