Sean is doing my new tattoo on tuesday and it's my first time getting tattooed in zulu. A friend of mine was saying Seán has made a good few **** ups over the years and I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experience of getting a tattoo by him? It's a relatively simple tattoo, black and red, very little shading involved but it does require a decent hand or it'll look crap.

If it's simple enough you have no worries.
Some of his bad work was probably done after a night in the pub or the like, when he's in the shop he'll be fine he wont have had 15 pints like. :p
His dark booth style stuff can be quite good.

    Hey S7,

Maybe you should get it done from another tattooist if you are not 100%.

Well anything I've seen by him is grand but I've been told he's made a few blunders in his time. But like I said, it's pretty simple.

suppose, but could you not go for Justin Russell instead?

Sean did a fairly complicated celtic piece for me on the inside of my bicep. That's a supposedly notorious place for tattoos to swell/blur lines etc. It turned out deadly - no problems at all. He's quick with sure lines, no messing about. I'd definitely recommend him.

The best place I've been to though, is Stigmata Tau in Swords. Both Cathal and Mick, who run the place, have been around the scene for years and are absolutely brilliant. I'm getting a sleeve done there - they're the business!

    Good luck with your tattoo!

I've gotten to black ink pieces done by him. They both turned out perfect. Once I get the time and money I will be going back to get my back done by him. If you do a search in the forum you will find the pics of my Tatts. errrr... infact I think you wont. Forgot it was on my boards space :(

Just got the outline done today, there's a bit of work in it so it might take 3 sittings altogether according to Seán, he done a good job so far and he's sound so I'd have to recommend him.
