OK when I say this I dont mean the headliners, I dont want people saying oh artic monkys are great, I know there great. same goes for the chilis and kaiser chiefs etc. Any other bands that stand out that are good. Saturday looks like mainly a main stage day, dont know about sunday yet, so all recommendations welcome.

Also something I'm not sure about, and he goes by the name of Pharell Williams, I'm an N.E.R.D fan or was rather and saw them at Oxegen o4 and I thought they were fantactic, but something tells me that Pharell wont be as good, I never bothered with his solo album, what do people think.

!!! are really, really awesome. They're kind of post punk/funk/weird dancey stuff. Kind of like The Rapture or LCD Soundsystem but cooler.

    They're not playing Oxegen though.

Check out Animal Collective, supposed to be brilliant live.

Ah, it was listed on their site that they were playing Oxegen but all mention of it is gone now. Apologies everyone! Go see Sigur Rós and the aforementioned Animal Collective instead. Nothing else worth seeing.

Yeah, except Vitalic, Giant Drag, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Erol Alkan, Clap your hands say yeah, Hope of the States, Phoenix, the Spinto Band, Eels, Death Cab for Cutie, We are Scientists and maybe 6 or 7 others.

Only wish I had a ticket...

They're playing here the weekend of Oxegen though, I think.

And yeah, can't wait to see Sigur Rós again. Without a doubt the best band I've ever seen live. I don't think anyone who's seen them perform would disagree that they're the best thing you could see at Oxegen. I hope their backup sort of group is with them. Aminia is it?

Go! Team are pretty good too, heard excellent reports of them playing live. Goldfrapp is serious eye candy and great music. They're playing Sunday. Wolfmother is kind of retro psychodelic guitars, and pretty catchy, would be good live. Jose Gonzalez would be worth checking out too, just an acoustic guitar but hes the guy "who sings that Sony ad song", so if you're curious. He's really talented though.

Lots of good bands to check out if you're already a fan, but if you want a kind of stand out live experience on Sunday its got to be Sigur Rós

    Eels
    Sigur Ros

    Brilliant acts right there.

EDIT: The Magic Numbers too. And I've only heard one of their songs but wolfmother seem pretty cool.

As I said, no one worth seeing :p

Yeah they are, they're supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers on every other date of their tour though. I thought they might be playing two sets, an Oxegen set in the afternoon and a proper in the Village.

I've heard good things about Vitalic. I'd really like to see Death Cab since I've been listening to them for years, even though I'm not as fond as them as I used to be. Eels would be a laugh, and I still haven't seen Goldfrapp.

Animal Collective and Sigur Rós would top my list.

Wolfmother nost certainly. 2nd on the NME stage on Sunday. wont have much time but Im sure they will be good to see. Also the Blizzards on the Saturday also on NME stage are good. Although Id say they'd be better in a tent

Hope of the states are worth a watch, also dirty pretty things.

Manu Chao is pretty good, as are the Kooks. Death Cab For Cutie are, IMHO, terrible, and Dirty Pretty Things are only average. Sigur Ros seems to be on near the end of Sunday, which is an excellent time for their style of music, nice and laid back. I'll probably check out the Eels and Clap Your Hands say Yeah. Haven't heard iForward Russia! but everyone seems to love them so I might have a look at them too. (EDIT: Just listened to a song of theirs on their website, I'm not one to prejudge. But meh at best)

Clap your hands say yeah, the Go Team and Jose Gonzales I can't wait for. i've heard cyhsy are **** live but they'd better not be. director and zero 7 should be good too. the automatic aren't the best but i've seen their live performances and they put a lot of energy into it so they might be worth a look!
bad thing as usual seems most of the good bands are clashing, though ye can never tell because they don't put the feckin times up before hand, another way to rip us off!
Btw do people actually like dirty pretty things?! bang bang is one of the worst songs i've ever heard, cliche indie sh1te!
