AM2 boxed fan - retention clip lock trouble

    Right, so i chickened out of the Intel and went with a cheap AM2 solution to keep me going for a few months.

    I have a slight hiccup with the assembly at the moment tho, with regards the CPU fan.

    I installed it, with much fuss, yet the retention clip lock thing (the little black lever) doesnt seem to want to flip over to the other side. Does it require a lot of force or have i messed up the fan installation?

    Oh, its the standard boxed fan for the AM2 socket, with the black clip on the mobo, etc.
