Hi, Just a quick question that i need answering, mainly by the female half of boards.

I have been going with this girl for a while now, but when ever we have sex in the doggy position, my girl friend claims that she gets a pain near her tummy and the pain gets so sore we have to revert to the missionary position which is grand no pain.

Any body know of a way to get around this problem

What kind of pain? Where? Are you penetrating too far (although I get the impression that in this position it is less likely)?

I think I know what she's talking about - I'm the same if I'm on top. I don't know what it hits, but it's damn painful. Same for certain variants on missionary.
My only solution thus far is to avoid them, I don't know the cause.

There are plenty of other positions besides doggy and missionary that you should be ok if you avoid doggy and still want variety. Maybe penetrating a little less deeply would work, though not ideal I suppose.

Could be either, but just watch the deepness levels.If you're hitting the cervix, you'll know it.Feels like something hardish that you're knocking off.

A lot of girls like this feeling in my experience, but watch how agressively you thrust.Going that deep, and hard won't be too nice for her.Take it slower and go deep and you might get a much better reaction.

Alternatively,get her on top, and see how far she goes down on it comfortably, and take that as the safe depth level.

Well, it's not as if there are only two positions possible.

If you like the doggy position you might also like the tiger position (like the doggy, but she lies on her belly rather than being on all fours), which may not cause the same discomfort for her - it doesn't allow for as deep a penetration, but because of the pressure on the penis it can still feel deep for you.

Beyond that there are countless other positions you could try (well, 7 basic positions, but countless variants - also trying to find an 8th can be fun), and that's just as far as vaginal penetration goes. Just mix it up a bit.

You can't. Now this is assuming you mean doggy position and not anal.
The position of the womb and angle of entry can change from woman to woman. My partner hurts in certain positions and it is down to that. Other position make her want to pee etc.

Try not pushing in all the way if you want to keep using that position.

It does sound like you are coming to the end of her vagaina and bumping her cervix
for some women this can be painful, for others is it is not and for some it is a wonderful sort of pain.

Just as the length of men's penii varies, so too does the depth of women's vaginas. As others have pointed out, you're most likely bumping her cervix. This position gives you a lot of control, so don't force it all the way in next time, and be a little careful about how vigourous you get.

If it continues to hurt, then just abandon it. Some positions work for some people, and don't work for others. Half of the fun is finding out what's the best fun for both of you.

The doggy-style position allows for the deepest penetration for women. Often, it is deep penetration, as well as a lack of lubrication, that causes pain.

As for the depth of penetration, you can control it by putting your penis in a bit at a time, and then asking her to let you know what is pleasurable and what is painful. However, if during doggy-style sex your body is pounding like a pile-driver, reconsider the type, speed, and intensity of your movements.

Yes. Analyse and adjust your thrust vector and hump velocity... not forgetting the ass-size/tension coefficient.
When in doubt, have someone else look over your figures and tweak where nessesary.
