    2) How come we were never give a date for exam results?

3)What does it mean if your exam results are "witheld" or "withdrawn".

    1. Means you got an equal mark with the others marked as ex aeq (where results are in order of mark rather than alphabetical).

    2. Welcome to Trinity. Did you ask? Most departments and schools put up notices. Did you look?

    3. Withheld is usually (but not always) related to unpaid fees - i.e. the papers have been marked but your result is being held back. Withdrawn means the student has left college. If any other strange words appear on your result, ask your tutor or Dónal in the SU.

It's an abbreviation of the Latin ex aequo, literally "from the equal".
