    They are kinda pointless, they were meant to be more than has come of them so far, such as used for playing similar players online of similar skills. But bragging rights has all thats come of it.

    yeah they are pretty pointless, they should at least give you some microsoft points for getting above a certain score

    But its addictive! I have feck all points and I just have to keep trying to get more.

    you should really get some points to spend on live when you get so many say a 1000 or something the bragging rights thing is pretty pointless to most people.

    I disagree that you should get MS points in return for Achievements... Renting a game (not here yet but in the States) is not expensive... Rent Madden, a few more EA Sports titles and King Kong and you'd easily pick up many thousand gamerpoints, along with the proposed free MS points... Results in a drop in spending on gamerpoints by themselves....

    The problem lies in the fact that some games are easy to get high points on such as GUN, while others are a complete pain in the ass to get 10 points out of it. So if your a point whore you just buy / rent the games that give you high points. Making it highly imbalanced, as you can blow, yet still have several thosand points.
