Boxing's damage is self inflicted. But there's a resurgence now and some really strong divisions with some excellent fighters. The trouble is most people who are just casual watchers think pro-boxing = heavyweight boxing. The heavyweight division is in a lull at the moment, but as per the nature of these things, it only takes one outstanding heavyweight to spur interest again.

I always wondered why the Heavy weight division and fights created so much thunder. I personally find the lighter divisions to have more action, as in faster etc..

My fav boxing era had to be 1. Stephen Collins and his genre 2. Lets not forget wee Barry Mcguigan!

you only have to look up the listing for sky to see how happy the boxing world is.....

Is the last 3 weeks, we had hopkins, taylor and cotto fightin superb opponents and loads more to follow with Gatti fightin soon as well. Pac man, morales, barerra, there all still at it, lads like vargas even making come back after spells off from the ring.... and in saying that vargas is sometimes seen in and around tito corner in ufc fights
