I use Avast antivirus, the freeware version, and I've never had any bother with it over the past year. Can anyone tell me if it would be worth upgrading to the Professional Edition? Or is the free version just fine? Anyone made the leap?

I think you can use the "if its not broken, dont fix it" idea. The free version is fine imo, saying that I have not upgraded to the pro version. I use Anti-Vir free edition.

I use the free version too, no need to get the pro version it just has a few more features useful to a business environment like a command line scanner.

You can see the full list of differences between the home & pro at this link and as you can see it's not a lot.
