Can you use itunes to buy songs with a dial up connection or does it have to be broadband?

Its pretty stupid to download from a legal site and pay at the same time....is it not?

US$0.10c a song. lot better that itunes. They only clampin down on serious downloaders ie. few gb's a week. They not interested in petty dl'ers. Spend $30 dollars & u be ok for 6 mths or longer. All my friends use it.

    What are you talking about?

When you purchase sometime from an illegal company you are taking massive risks with your money ie giving your money to a shady company isnt a good idea as well as what happens when the company finally gets closed down and IRMA decide to come after you in a couple of years time?

Im not going to tell you where you can get the exact same songs for free....but you certainly are taking massive risks!!!

How is downloading from a semi-legal company a "massive risk" compared to just downloading mp3's via P2P ?

I'd debate the risk of using a credit-card with a "shady" company compated to unencrypted bittorrent.

well the way i see it if you're paying for something that's illegal what's the point when you can get it for free.

all you are doing when paying for it is leaving a big track for you to be caught and also paying for leaving that track.

Off topic: Paying for illegal goods usually funds illegal activity, and that's just stupid even without considering the paper trail.

On topic: It'll work but be careful that the download isn't interupted or else you'll have to start, and pay, all over again. Same goes for BB but with dial-up it's somewhat more possible.

so what you're saying is if someone trips over the wire you have to pay 99c again?

that's a pretty crappy system tbh, they should be able to see that a download was not completed due to a disconnection and allow you to download again.

That's right, it happened to me once before, I was using dial up at the time and the power went so it was interrupted and I had to buy it again, 99c was no big loss so I didn't feel it was worth the hassle of emailing and complaining, it only happened once and I usually wait to download until I have BB (most of the time) but if using dial up all the time I imagine it could happen more often, and for reasons other than power cuts.

If I had had BB at the time I'd have had it long before the power went.

I only use 3v disposable credit card for safety on net. When you buy songs on that site you can dl them as many times as you like for 24hrs. its your own choice. itunes 2 expensive imo when u can get it for less. dont like p2p cos i like 2 have full albums. just my opinion.

I've started going to the shop and buying CD's, with money.
I make really high quality mp3's with Exact Audio Copy and LAME encoder.

All the stuff I like is only about €8 anyway, and the rest is about €15 on cdwow.

You don't have to pay the .99cent again if the download stops or is interrupted you can just start it again - "Advanced" Menu in iTunes - "Check for Purchased muisc" this will continue any uncompleted downloads.

Oh well, guess I wasted my 99c so!

In that case the only downside of using dial-up is just the general downside!
