Getting into S/W Testing

I have a degree (languages) and a post-grad in an IT related field. I am looking to get into S/W testing in the limerick/Clare area.
I have my pgrad about 2 years (parts involved s/w testing/plans/scripts/automation etc)) but never actually worked in that field (not through lack of trying I might add).

I really want to get into this. It seems pretty hard to get into. Anyone have any ideas/experience of same problem? Is there anything I can do to be more employable in this field? Anyone hear of any positions available? Am willing to start in a junior position.

I think the problem is you want a job in Clare/Limerick. There are TONS of software testing (particularily - localization testing - your language degree) in Dublin.

Can you make the move to Dublin?
