Hi all. I've inherited an old G4 which has enough spec to devour any Dell or HP Windows PC. Sadly it is totally devoid of USB 2.0 ports which limits it's abilities a tad for me.

I've been searching for a PCI controller to supply USB 2.0 to my computer and Mactivate in Blanchardstown say €59 while the internet says €15 but no shipping to Ireland.

Anybody know of a cheap way of getting one of these?

    All help appreciated!

Try the Mac Shop on Merrion Square, they are more than helpful in there, even if you don't spend cash in there.

But regardless which one you go, whatever either shop will stock, you will know pertty much that it is a decent solution for a Mac and that both shops know what they are on about.

They're based in Fairview... Just €20 for a USB 2.0 card and it works fine in a Mac.

Thank you all for your help with this. Tonyboy247, I'd take it off you but I put a bid on one on Ebay. If I can figure out a way of pulling out of it I'll get on to you straight away for that.
