Magners

I think Magners was an established brand in UK and C&C bought it out a few years ago. With things like drinks customer loyalty is a huge factor so changing the name in the UK would hit them hard.

Bulmers Original Irish Cider is a cider produced in Ireland. To prevent confusion with the English cider of the same name it is sold outside of the Republic of Ireland as Magners.

    The other Bulmers.

Dunno if its related, but HP Bulmer owns the likes of Strongbow, Scrumpy Jack and Woodpecker, so presumably he owns the trademark to 'Bulmers Cider' in the UK.

Bulmers i.e. the stuff that's made in Clonmel, is called Magners everywhere else in the world (I've seen it in France, Italy and the USA) for the reason that aidan_walsh stated.

When you watch a GAA match on the telly in France the ads are Magners ones but really Bulmers :)

Mates of mine in abbeyleix drink Magners. A lorry carrying Magners for the export market crashed. Every second person had a dozen bottles stored away
