Which Hybrid?

Ridgeback Rapide Velocity - bought 2 of them for friends in the last 2 years - beautiful bikes.

The Crossroads are decent enough, especially the sports versions, but they're from Cycleways which too me is just too expensive of a bike shop.

Not familiar with the other two.

(btw I just changed your topic to "Which Hybrid?" - these bikes are more well known as hybrids - check out cruisers here)

Haha, I notice "Products: Bikes > Bikes(Road Cruiser)" in the links above - different terminologies I guess - I wouldn't call 'em cruisers...)

The LaPierre Cruiser has 700x25 tyres so should be faster than the Trek (700x35) and the Specialized (700x38).
The LaPierre does not have front suspension. This is a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on your perspective. On my mtn bike I sometimes find the front suspension hindering my progress a little. My road bike (700x23) obviously doesn't have suspension but it's not a big deal.

You can try 3 of the bikes (Trek, LaPierre, Raleigh) at Cycle SuperStore in Tallaght, taking a short cycle in front of the shop. This will give you an idea which frame/setup/colour you like. I would expect the staff to recommend the LaPierre because they are the distributor of that brand. (I went in looking at a Trek bike and came out with a LaPierre - and I'm very happy with it).

The Ridgeback and the Specialized are both nice, I'm sure the lapierre is too. Don't know about the Raleigh.

Eitherway, if you're doing a commute on them I'd sugeest one with a few more useful accessories (such as panniers and mudguards). Adding them later just doesn't work as well as buying them with the bike...
